About Sana Hastakala |
|
Sana Hastakala is Nepali for "small handicrafts" and our aim is to foster the resurgence of traditional craft skills and the use of modern techniques. By doing this, Nepal's underprivileged and predominately female handicraft producers will earn fair wages and sustainable livelihoods.
To achieve this outcome we provide marketing services to more than 100 producers, projects and organizations, thereby directly benefiting approximately 1500 individual producers.
The income from sales is distributed to producers and their employees, is used to strengthen our organization and is employed to finance community development. The community development fund assists the most impoverished craft producers in purchasing raw materials and equipment, as well as skills training and sales. |
